Monlink and Mobile BankingMonlink is a new concept with a joint venture between retail banks and the mobile banking options. The contract has just been signed that will allow customers access to their banks in the UK by phone. UK residents are now going to be able to access their account balances, view mini statements, and add minutes to their pre pay mobile phones all from the phone wherever they are located in the world. A person can be travelling and access their bank, pay some bills, and just keep track of money. The service is going to be protected with a password and all information that is shown on the phone will be deleted after the person is done viewing the page. The personal details will be secure even if the device is lost or stolen as the records will no longer exist. Alastair Lukies is the CEO of Monitise. According to him the mobile banking and payment options is going to be one of the biggest and fastest growing markets for today’s world. While they are starting out in the UK the options will soon be in the global market for anyone who is wishful of checking their banking on the phone. Better than anything is the fact that the person is protected because that is the most important aspect of the whole program. The mobile phone companies are working together to make sure that this will happen. Being able to access information on the phone has been a huge industry for the last ten years, growing with the advent of specific internet pages from search engines to make it easier to get the pages downloaded. The fact that bank accounts are now being added in a secure fashion is just one step in the progressive direction for the UK. Back To Financial News June 2008 100 Percent Mortgages |
