The Ministry of Public Security announced that there has been an increase in credit card fraud and the production of fake products. While violent crimes are down it seems that economic crimes are on the rise. This means that the possibility of find the best credit cards is doubly difficult as consumers have to be concerned with finding fraudulent companies or losing their credit cards to criminals.

In the first nine months of 2007 it was shown that 3.38 million criminal cases regarding credit card crimes existed. Of those 3.8 million cases only 1.61 million of the cases were solved. The criminals were found and arrested, although no news as yet about convictions has been released. This makes finding best credit cards to add to your wallet doubly difficult.

Some of the best credit cards are trying to raise awareness of security. In fact it has been said that these credit card scams threaten the public’s sense of security and the companies need to increase protection options. As the moment murder, arson, and explosions that have been caused by negligence dropped by at least ten percent overall with a significant drop in explosions. 24.9 percent drops in explosions have occurred in the last few years.

Unfortunately the economic crimes such as credit cards have risen 7.2 percent in the same amount of time. In numbers that means there have been at least 59,000 cases each year in addition to what was going on previously. The question begs to be asked, if there really are any “best credit cards” left.

Of the 59,000 cases 2,036 of the economic crimes were fraudulent or shoddy products. There were 6,187 cases of financial fraud, and 744 smuggling crimes. This makes economic crimes or financial crimes one of the most common and something must be done about these credit card frauds as well as the other cases.

The reason for the rise in economic crimes is unknown, but it may be linked to the increase in the economy. Income has been on the rise, which links the world more globally giving more access to criminal activity, especially in the economic sector. It may be very soon that there are no best credit cards available for consumers.

Research has shown that economic crimes will continue to increase if something is not done, by at least $1,000 to $4,000. Consumers are being warned to be cautious when they use ATM’s with their best credit cards to avoid giving out personal information.

Attention needs to be paid to the rise of credit card fraud on several levels. The cities must start acting more seriously about the problems as well as having the individuals understand how easy it is for their credit cards to be used fraudulently in order to get the numbers down. It seems that about 5.9 million dollars are reaching the criminals pockets every year and it will continue to rise.

There are many things a person can do to protect themselves such as understanding where the problem is coming from. Spy software is being used for criminal activity. Which means it is not just ATM’s and muggings that have brought the increase.
