Credit Card Withdrawals

04/07/08 6:56 AM

About a fifth of the adults in the UK right now are suffering from debt issues. They are just trying to get about 100 pounds during the month in order to cover their expenses. Others have to get into their savings, if they have some, in order to get through the month. Some of the consumers have tried to get loans or considered it a possibility, but the short term loans are very expensive just on a hundred pounds.

The option you want to stay away from is the credit card withdrawals. It may seem attractive and short term, but in the end you are going to be charged quite a bit for that type of withdrawal. In fact most credit cards charge a 2.5 to 3 percent fee for the withdrawal and then charge 24 to 30 percent on the cash withdrawal until it is paid back. This means to get 100 pounds you are usually being charged 3 pounds in addition to the 100, plus the 24 to 30 percent.

There are a few cheaper ways to get cash without having to use credit cards. Pawnbrokers, auctions, and other sales could help you to get the cash you need without the interest and fees.
