Applying for an Instant Approval Credit Card
Despite its name, an instant approval credit card really isn’t instant. Although you might be able to find out whether or not you have been approved in an “instant,” it will still take some time for the card to make it to you. In addition, not everyone can find out so quickly whether or not their application has been approved.
In most cases, you will have to apply for an instant approval credit card online. In general, the only exception to this rule are department store credit cards that can be instantly approved and given to you right away. When applying for an instant approval credit card online, you will need to supply your name, your phone number, your address, your annual salary, and your social security number. Depending on the company, you might be asked to supply additional information as well.
If your credit score is good, you might be told that you have been approved within seconds. If your score is not so good, on the other hand, you might receive a message stating that the credit card company needs to take a more in-depth look at your credit history before making a decision. Even if you are approved for the card, it will take a couple weeks to get to you, which is still faster than the standard application process that can take four to six weeks from beginning to end.
